I have not posted for almost two months, because I took a trip to California, to enjoy my grandson and soak up some of that good sunshine. One of those days, we went for a walk to his local park, where we enjoyed swinging on the swings together for about half an hour in the pleasant sunshine. I was reminded of a poem, my mother used to recite to us children while we swung on our homemade swing made by my father.
How do you like to go up in a swing ,
Up in the sky so blue?
Oh, I do think it, the pleasantest thing,
ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
River and trees and cattle and all over the country side!
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown,
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down.
Poem by Robert Louis Stevenson.
