It’s been quite a week!
Monday:  A visit to my doctor for surgery healing progress, she gave me the green light to resume normal duty including driving.  She also gave me a list of exercises for my left arm and an appointment to meet with a physical therapist.

Leaves on the lawn in November
Leaves on the lawn in November waiting patiently for the  wind to come and blow them away!  With each gust they get further and further away, only to be replaced by the next gust of wind!

Tuesday:  A nice surprise!

Bouquet of flowers arrive today with healing thoughts from my son.
Bouquet of flowers arrive today with healing thoughts from my son.  These roses are actually Coral roses and are very beautiful with the yellow lilies,  brought joy to my heart and uplifted my spirits!  Thank you my son!

Wednesday:  Today I am catching up with the laundry, it never seems to end, but thank goodness for a washing machine and drier that I can multi task and get other chores done while the laundry is humming along.  Remembering when my mother dedicated a day once a week to get the family laundry done.  She had a tiny washing machine with a roller wringer.    She had to boil the water and add it to the machine.  When the load finished she had to run them through the wringer and then take the basket of laundry to the line in the garden for drying.  So I should be counting my blessings!

Black cat on Friday the 13th (Google  Image)!

Today is Friday the  13th  a fearful date for some cultures and it is steeped with superstition.   For myself,  I do not pay too much attention to these superstitions, but I did go to the Wikipedia to learn more about the date.   There really wasn’t much information there, however I did learn that the fear of the number 13 has been given a scientific name: “triskaidekaphobia”, and the fear of Friday the 13th is called “paraskevidekatriaphobia”.  The last time that November 13th fell on a Friday was 2009 and the next time will be 2020!

A piece of space debris entered our earth’s atmosphere this morning, burned up and plunged into the Indian Ocean, making this Friday the 13th a lucky one for the scientists who are studying the effects of our atmosphere on “space junk”, according to USA today.  This should have been a spectacular event.

This septuagenarian is getting tired and is heading  to the kitchen for a hot cup of mint tea and a couple of fig newtons.

Enjoy your day, let me know how it turns out!
